How to Adjust Your Sprinklers

Pop-up sprinkler nozzles come in a variety of fan widths, from 30 degrees — for selective watering — all the way to 360 degrees. If your nozzle has a fan width less than 360 degrees, and it goes out of alignment, or you change the garden it’s watering, changing the direction of the fan is a simple task. It helps if you have a sprinkler pull-up tool to pull the sprinkler head out of the ground and keep it elevated while you work. If you don’t have one, a pair of locking pliers will also work.

How to Caulk Sheetrock / Wall Cracks

One alternative to common drywall patching compound is paintable caulk. If, for some reason, you find your drywall cracks repeatedly (around the edge of a windowpane, for example), apply a paintable caulk that is also water washable directly into the crack with your finger. Before it sets (usually within 30 minutes), wipe down with a clean damp cloth, again to smooth and to allow the existing texture to bleed through.
